About Code Unnati

Code Unnati is SAP India’s flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative that envisions a future where youth are equipped with the skills to thrive in a digital-first world. Launched in 2022–23, the program began its journey in Gujarat and Delhi, expanding in subsequent years to Maharashtra, Telangana, and now Karnataka—becoming a growing force in the national skilling ecosystem.

At its core, Code Unnati is a technology-driven skilling initiative that empowers engineering students with hands-on training in Industry 4.0 technologies. Delivered in collaboration with Edunet Foundation, the program provides high-end infrastructure and immersive learning experiences in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Computer Vision, the Internet of Things (IoT), SAP BTP, and ABAP. It caters specifically to second, pre-final, and final-year engineering students, helping bridge the gap between academic learning and industry readiness. Currently active across 45 engineering institutes in Gujarat (18), Telangana (17), and Maharashtra (4), the initiative is now extending its impact further with the launch of six new Centers of Excellence (CoE's)—three each in Telangana and Karnataka—transforming partner institutions into regional innovation and learning hubs. Since its inception, Code Unnati has:

  • Trained over 9,000+ youth, with more than 40% female participation, fostering inclusive and gender-equitable skilling.
  • Enabled 1,000+ faculty members through structured Faculty Development Programs (FDPs).
  • Mapped 3,000+ students to real-world internships and job opportunities, igniting career pathways.
  • Empowered 200+ students with international certifications in SAP ABAP and Analytics technologies.
  • Established 70 SAP Centres of Excellence (CoE's), acting as engines of innovation and hands-on learning in partner institutions.

Code Unnati is deeply aligned with national priorities such as Skill India, Digital India, and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, while contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—especially those focused on Quality Education, Decent Work, and Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure. With every student trained, every CoE established, and every future unlocked, Code Unnati is not just building skills—it's building a movement.
