About Code Unnati

Code Unnati is SAP India’s flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative that envisions a future where youth are equipped with the skills to thrive in a digital-first world. Launched in 2022–23, the program began its journey in Gujarat and Delhi, and has since expanded to Maharashtra, Telangana, and Karnataka—emerging as a strong contributor to India’s evolving skilling ecosystem.

At its core, Code Unnati is a future-focused skilling initiative that empowers engineering students with hands-on learning in emerging technologies and digital innovation. Delivered in collaboration with Edunet Foundation, the program provides advanced infrastructure and experiential learning opportunities in areas such as Data Science, Cloud Technologies, Cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), Robotics, Automation, Enterprise Technologies, SAP BTP, and ABAP. Designed for second-year, pre-final, and final-year engineering students, the initiative helps bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations by fostering practical problem-solving, innovation, and career readiness.

Currently active across 26 engineering institutes in Telangana and Karnataka, the initiative is further expanding its impact through the establishment of new SAP Centres of Excellence (CoEs), transforming partner institutions into regional hubs for innovation, collaboration, and applied learning. Since its inception, Code Unnati has:

  • Trained over 15,000 youth, with more than 40% female participation, promoting inclusive and equitable access to technology education.
  • Enabled 1,350+ faculty members through structured Faculty Development Programs (FDPs).
  • Supported over 5,000 students with internships and employment opportunities, supporting career progression and industry exposure.
  • Empowered 200+ students with international certifications in SAP ABAP and Analytics technologies.
  • Established 73 SAP Centres of Excellence (CoEs), enabling hands-on learning, innovation, and institutional capacity building.

Code Unnati is closely aligned with national priorities such as Skill India, Digital India, and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, while also contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those focused on Quality Education, Decent Work, and Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure. With every student trained, every institution strengthened, and every opportunity created, Code Unnati continues to build a stronger foundation for a future-ready workforce and an inclusive digital economy.
