Minakshi is currently pursuing B Tech in Information Technology. After attempting multiple things, she was able to figure out that she is able to find insights through data analysis. In her words, "I love to see how data works. I want to understand how this world is working through data With a keen interest in research, she is considering doing her PhD at some point in future.

It was only after getting trained under this program, where she learned PowerBI for data analysis that her interest and confidence in data analysis increased. She is glad she can handle and visualise data sets and draw interesting insights from them. The mentorship received under the program helped her to push her limits.

For her capstone project under the Code Unnati Program, she analysed the data sets published by the UN’s Food and Agricultural Organisation and analysed the import-export trends, availability of healthy food and potable water across different countries.

She used her capstone project experience during her interview with MG Motors and left them impressed with her work.

My roommate, Mitali Gohel, had participated in the Code Unnati Program and recommended that I should join because of my interest in data and machine learning. I found the classes engaging, losing track of time during each session. I dedicated myself to attending nearly all the classes, even on weekends. The program covered essential topics like machine learning, computer vision, and IoT, which I believe are highly relevant in today's advancing technology landscape.

“There was a capstone project like the final part of the program which included a presentation. I think it helped me to present the project correctly.

This program is good for us because we didn't have that in bachelors or computer applications. After all, we had limited scope, like web technologies, mobile technologies and everything. I explored in this program that Python can be used with data and manipulation of data in such a way that you can create or predict other results.

Non-engineering students can cope with this course once they learn the fundamentals of the Python language. I believe the only hard part is to apply the mathematical concepts in terms of Python programs because those things take a little bit of time. But once you understand it and get the fundamentals, I think it's easy for all of us to apply that.”

Ashish comes from a background rooted in commerce and business. Despite his initial interest in the Merchant Navy, the pandemic prompted him to shift gears and pursue engineering instead.

He encountered the course during his third year of engineering. Reflecting on his experience, he mentions, "Some individuals had been coding since the 11th or 12th grade, while others like me were introduced to the system in the first year and began coding in the second year.

Hence, "the structured roadmap was ideal for us; we started with fundamental concepts, progressed to Python, then delved into ML, and later delved into IoT sessions. Personally, I struggled with activation functions and implemented them randomly. Fortunately, we were guided on how to approach them systematically.

During the Code Unnati sessions, even the less active classmates in the regular classroom environment became highly engaged. We were encouraged to communicate, address our queries, and broaden our perspectives to align with the practical demands of the job market. The program emphasized the skills that would distinguish us from others, which I consider a pivotal learning outcome.”

From Learning to Success: A Student's Path to Internship Triumph

The course was really a transforming journey for me. This is the first time I enrolled for such kind of course. We are from a tier 3 college and still were offered this course and we are really grateful for that.

The training delivery by our mentors was really good. The LMS platform was very nice and helpful. We can see our profile and attendance and also apply for the job opportunities through it.

I have done the project called “God's Eye” - Eyewitness Rendered Facial Depiction and Recognition. We developed a system that can accurately and rapidly generate digital sketches with the help of eyewitness description for criminal identification. The technology used are Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Cloud Computing and AWS.

I have been selected in Hyderabad based EdTech company called “Innomatics Research Labs” for the internship. I was able to crack this because of the knowledge I gained from Code Unnati program.

Hands-On Learning: A Student's Perspective on Code Unnati's Practical Approach

“In Code Unnati Program the great thing was we were able to do everything hands-on. Previously in the regular curriculum, we didn’t have many practical sessions. We learned so many things in Python, apart from what is taught in our regular syllabus. The ES training was also helpful.

I have done the project "Smart Signal: Optimizing Traffic Flow through Automated Car Counting and Timing Adjustment". Nowadays the current infrastructure for traffic signals is unable to dynamically modify signal timing in response to actual traffic conditions, traffic flow is inefficient and congestion is exacerbated. Time-consuming and frequently erroneous manual signal timing monitoring and adjustment is required. To solve this problem we built a project called "Smart Signal: Optimizing Traffic Flow through Automated Car Counting and Timing Adjustment," which would integrate cognitive algorithms with automated car counting technology to dynamically modify the timing of signals. “

From Prediction to Progress: A Student's Path to Internship Success

This is the first program I attended and really grateful for being a part of it. It was free of cost and that too in our campus which was really great. We were taught Python from scratch as we are in 3rd year. I liked the IOT module the most and as there was a different component involved in the practical session and it was a great hands on experience.

We have created a project on “Loan Prediction Approval System”. In that we took raw data and based on that we made the prediction whether the loan will be approved or not. We used machine learning and logistic regression algorithm.

I have applied to every job and internship opportunity that Edunet Foundation offered. I am selected in “Uniconverge Technologies” for internship. My dream companies are Seclore & SAP. I want to work in AI & Machine Learning domain as a data scientist and data analyst.

Samyak belongs to Mulawa village in the Yavatmal district of Maharashtra. His parents are government employees. He says, “I want to become an engineer not only for the industry but also to help the society. My father has a heart disease and I want to make the medical sector more advanced so that more people can get treatment for less money and less time”

He feels this program has something different to offer as compared to the others being offered on their campus. His team’s project Hydrobot – the autonomous river cleaning robot bagged the second runner-up position at the Code Unnati Innovation Marathon ’23-’24.

He said that he was able to use the Raspberry Pi kits at the Centre of Excellence and the machine learning libraries and other technologies taught under the program to make their model autonomous With the feedback received from the industry experts, they wish to further develop their prototype in terms of design and its application.

Revolutionizing Careers: Aashi's Journey from College to Career Excellence

Aashi is currently working with Maruti Suzuki as a data analyst and has a strong background in programming languages like C, C++ and Python.

She says, "“I have an interest in SQL structure schedule languages, so I explore things further. I have learned Django for the back-end framework and front-end languages like HTML, CSS, javascripts so that I can make the switch whenever needed.

In college, we do not have a hands-on training as well as they do not teach us in depth. I have learned C++ and C in colleges, but they do not give us hands on training but in this course, we were taught step by step and were given hands on experience on every module. The compulsory project helped me very to boost up my confidence and brush up my programming skills.

Like for example during my interview, I was asked what the outliers is. I just remember what was taught to us about the outliers in machine learning. It just clicked me, and I responded to them. I also explained to them about my project, and they were very impressed like how machines were trained to predict things and making decisions by themselves without human interaction. I think this is how the training helped me with getting my job.

Bridging Theory and Practice: A Diploma Student's Experience

In Code Unnati Program we had hands on practical session, as a Diploma student we don’t have such kind of practical sessions it’s mostly theory lectures. We liked the practical sessions a lot and I found the k-nearest neighbours (KNN) algorithm sessions to be the best. I attended the ES sessions and they were very good. We learnt presentation and other soft skills and it was very helpful from job perspective.

We made a project prototype of “Payment system Using Face Detection”. We stored people face data in our system and based on that we deducted their payment in the public transport and various other places. We presented it during the final showcase of the Innovation Marathon.

Vision for the Future in AI and Data Analysis

Aryan could not enroll when the program started but he was really interested, so he was inducted into the program later.

He says, “We didn’t have any idea of Python language and other technical things. We are from Diploma still madam taught us everything from scratch. I liked Python programming a lot and SAP Chat Bot. Python & AI was totally new to us and we really liked it. All the technical components provided were very high quality

I have done the project on Cyber Security called ‘Cyber Security & Tech Analysis in India’ in which we tried to find the different types of cyberattacks which happened in the past, what technique they used for the attack so that we could think of ways to prevent it from happening again.

My dream job is in AI as a data analyst. I like working with data and exploring new data and analysing that.”
